It seems that every year Cebit attracts groups protesting about something or other and this year was no different. This time it was the turn of Greenpeace, that stalwart band of folks who hold saving the planet close to their hearts. And quite rightly so, considering the pollution and planetary damage that much of the technology we take for granted produces. Playing with toys is one thing, but let’s not toy with our planet!
From one crazy looking dude to another, this weirdo was the star attraction on the Unitek booth. Quite what he has to do with ceap computer cases escapes us, even with his snazzy footware.
Just in case you think Cebit is all fun and games, let us tell you it was absolutely freezing with about eight inches of snowfall in just a few hours. After a couple of days the snow turned to solid ice, making walking about treacherous.
Fortunately the indoor facilities kept the blood flowing and the temperature up!
This next item really had us confused for a moment thinking that we had ended up in France, but no, this really was an establishment right outside the train station. Just in case you do not understand German, a little picture depicting what to do is included.
Using an outside latrine is one thing, but in this weather? The bike was parked right next to the Pissoir!
